A few weeks ago I received three books from Idiot’s Guide to enjoy. I received two cookbooks: Slow Cooker Cooking and Baking for me and a drawing book: Drawing Manga for my daughter.
{Slow Cooker Cooking}
I opened the Slow Cooker Cooking Idiot’s Guide right away and was so impressed with the easy to follow recipes. The photographs of each meal are wonderful.
The Slow Cooker Cooking book is divided in twelve chapters. In this book you’ll find tips and recipes for everything from breakfast to sandwiches to main dishes. I love how this book is divided. It’s very easy to find a recipe to make on a tight schedule.
I quickly found recipes that I knew my kids would love. I have already made Korean Beef Bulgogi (it got 4 stars from the kids) Chicken Cacciatore (another dish I’ll be making again and again) and Classic Italian Lasagna. I loved these recipes because they were new to me. They were easy to follow and so tasty.
{Baking}
The Baking Idiot’s Guide is separated in five parts. It covers everything from the essentials to making bread. This book also has wonderful photographs. When there are tricky steps to a recipe there are extra photos to demonstrate how to do them.
I’m really looking forward to making Shortbread Cookies, Chocolate Soufflé and Molten Chocolate Cake.
{Drawing Manga}
My daughter was so excited to receive the Drawing Manga book. She loves drawing and following instructions on how to draw anything from animals to people.
She has pulled out this book many times to practice drawing Manga characters and is getting better and better every time.
This book covers how to draw faces, eyes, hands and people. It even goes into detail about drawing people walking, running and jumping. The step by step instructions are easy to follow.
Idiot’s Guides are wonderful books! They are full colour books with easy to follow instructions.
