Legends Creekside: It’s all About the Base #FamilyTravel

Last December my family checked into Legends Creekside in Whistler, BC for a winter ski vacation. We had stayed at Legends in the summer and fell in love with this condo style hotel.

We were looking forward to staying at Legends again because we loved it’s location – at the base of Whistler mountain.

It was nice to check in to a familiar place. The hotel was decorated for the holidays, the check in staff were helpful and efficient. We were quickly settling in to a beautiful 2 bedroom suite overlooking the mountain.

{Location, Location}

Legends convenient location was a highlight for us.

Ski and snowboard rentals are a two minute walk from the lobby, Whistler Kids ski school is also in the same location. Whistler Blackcomb guest services is in the same building as the hotel. The Creekside gondola lift is steps away. This location makes it simple to get out fast in the morning and allows you to easily ski or snowboard back to the condo for lunch.

Legends Creekside is located across the street from a grocery store and has several restaurants in walking distance. It also has easy access to Whistler village.

Things I love about Legends:

  • Great location in Creekside
  • It’s at the base of Whistler Mountain
  • It had the best ski in/ski out location
  • Ski/snowboard racks are located right outside the door
  • Safe underground parking (this is key when it snows, no one wants to dig their vehicle out before driving off)
  • It has a great activity room for kids
  • It has a heated pool and two hot tubs
  • It has a well equipped gym with change rooms
  • It has a game room with books and a pool table
  • Complimentary Lockers available for ski and snowboard equipment

{Condo-Style Rooms}

Condo-style rooms at Legends Creekside are well appointed. They have everything you need to feel at home. Rooms have fireplaces, extremely comfortable beds and a fully equipped kitchen.

We ate most of our meals in the condo. We liked that there were two twin beds in our children’s room. Their room was also connected to the main bathroom. The master bedroom has a second bathroom attached to it. We spent a lot of time in the living room watching movies after a day of skiing and exploring outside. We really enjoyed the fireplace in the large family room.

{Extras for Kids}

My kids loved the addition of two Wii U and Nintendo 3DS XL systems in the kids playroom. There are also puzzles and toys available for little ones. This is such a nice bonus, as a parent I know kids need lots of play time. I know the kids play room will be used lots when kids have had enough of playing outside in the cold.

Legends also offers complimentary rentals of Nintendo 3DS XL handheld systems to all guests.

If you are planning a Whistler holiday I would look no further than Legends Creekside. It is the perfect place to stay with your family and friends.

  1. It looks like you had so much fun! I would love to go skiing as a family sometime.. my hubby has never been and neither have my girls… I’m not sure how well I’d do after a couple of decades between now and the last time I tried! 🙂

  2. Wow, this sounds awesome! I love finding family-friendly vacation places. And I’ve been wanting to get the girls out for a ski vacation… this sounds like a great place to do that! 🙂 Thanks for sharing!

  3. This sounds perfect for our large family (except we still need an extra bed!) our boys went to Jamaica and all they talked about when we got home was how cool it was that they had an xbox in their room! They would be blown away by complimentary 3DS rentals!

  4. Wow, this looks beautiful!! I’ve been looking for a new place to try out for a family get away and I’ll definitely have to check this out 🙂
