Clover’s Adventures Continue with The Missing Magic

I have written about my daughter’s favourite chapter book series on My Family Stuff a few times now. She is the biggest fan of Kallie George’s Magical Animal Adoption Agency series.

The series tells the story of Clover, an ordinary young girl who happened to find a magical animal adoption agency in the forest one day. She ends up volunteering at the agency and soon becomes invaluable to it. The series follows Clover’s funny (and magical) adventures while working at the agency. Both my daughter and I were so happy when we heard that the third book – The Missing Magic – was released this fall.

Magical Animal Adoption Agency review

In the latest installment of the series, Clover is in charge of taking care of the agency again while Mr Jams leaves on an important mission. The main difference this time, is that she has a new helper – Oliver – to help her run the agency. The Missing Magic introduces many new quirky characters and some big problems to be solved.

Synopsis

A new volunteer has joined the Magical Animal Adoption Agency, and Clover’s not too happy about it! Oliver Von Hoof is supposed to be an expert on magical animals, but he’s barely older than Clover. How can he be an expert on anything? He’s certainly not very good at caring for the animals, so why does Mr. Jams keep asking him to help?

When Mr. Jams is called away from the Agency on a secret mission, Clover and Oliver are left in charge. It’s their job to keep the animals happy, but something strange is going on. Picnic the invisible puppy is turning visible, and Clover’s green cat, Dipity, is losing his colour. All of the Agency’s amazing creatures are becoming ordinary! And even Oliver’s magic wands aren’t enough to cure them. Will Clover and Oliver learn to work together before it’s too late?

It didn’t take my daughter a long time to finish The Missing Magic. She really loved this adventure and happily added the book to her Magical Animal Adoption Agency collection. The other titles in the series include: Clover’s Luck and The Enchanted Egg.

I highly recommend this series for young readers. The characters are charming, the adventures are fun and the illustrations are beautiful. You can find all three books in the series in stores now. I suggest starting with the first book and continuing on from there. These books are currently available in bookstores across Canada and the US.
