Experience Maui from Marriott’s Maui Ocean Club

My family recently returned from a fabulous vacation on Maui. The most memorable part of the trip was our stay at Marriott’s Maui Ocean Club in Kaanapali.

Marriott's Maui Ocean Club

Marriott’s Maui Ocean Club is a timeshare resort with beautiful spacious villas, three pools, and restaurants. It’s set on world-renown Kaanapali Beach. It is a perfect place to bring your entire family.

The Villas

There are four towers at Marriott’s Maui Ocean Club. We stayed in a one bedroom unit in the Molokai Wing. Our villa was tastefully decorated and had plenty of room for our family of 4.

The villa had a kitchenette with a microwave, sink, dishwasher and full size refrigerator. It had two bathrooms, a large living/dining room combo, a king bed in the bedroom and two balconies.  There was a queen sofa bed for the kids to sleep on in the living room. There was also a single pull out bed in the main bedroom.

Our tower was conveniently located close to the parking garage. It also had very easy access to the main super pool.

Resort Features

Marriott’s Maui Ocean Club has something for everyone. My kids were immediately drawn to the 3.5-acre super pool (with waterfall, cave and two water slides).

There is a pirate ship for little ones to enjoy at the main pool, hot tubs, a kids playground, a fitness centre, restaurants, a pool bar and a kids activity center.

We really loved the hammocks set up throughout the grounds of the resort and the cabanas available to rent.

There is one communal kitchen located in the main lobby. This kitchen is available to all guests and has several stove tops and one oven. There are also BBQs available throughout the property.

The resort has a large guest laundry facility and a hospitality suite to use before catching the plane home.

Resort Activities

When you check in you’ll receive an activity schedule. This schedule is packed with fun stuff to do during your stay.

Some of our favourite complimentary activities included the daily slide race (winner gets a shave ice or a Starbucks drink!), creating picture frames in the activity center, free Shave Ice, free Ka’anapali popcorn and tattoos at the House of Fun.

Our favourite premium activities included surf fishing ($15 per person) and evening Laser Tag ($7 per person).

There was so much fun stuff to do at the resort, we could have stayed on site the entire week!

Overall

Marriott’s Maui Ocean Club is a beautiful property. There are lush plants, flowers and trees throughout the resort. The layout is well-designed and easy to navigate.

We enjoyed all three pools, lounging on many of the long chairs and the ocean-front cabanas.

The staff at Marriott’s Ocean Club was extremely friendly and helpful. It was clear that they want every guest to have a memorable experience.

The property was very clean and inviting.

The location in Kaanapali is close to Lahaina, to many grocery stores, restaurants and beautiful beaches.

We really enjoyed the pace on Maui, the stunning scenery and the warm ocean.

Staying at the Maui Ocean Club helped me fall in love with the island of Maui. It allowed my family to have a carefree and comfortable holiday. We are already planning on returning to this resort.

I would highly recommend staying at Marriott’s Maui Ocean Club. This resort is an ideal place to stay while exploring beautiful Maui. The resort features and amenities are fabulous and suitable for families big and small.
