Monday Funday Linky {Jan 4}

Happy New year everyone!

I hope everyone had a restful holiday season. I can’t believe it’s time for the kids to head back to school and for me to head back to work!

Here’s what you may have missed on the blog last week:

Monday Funday Blogger Link Up Party Features:

This week’s features have been chosen by Randa from The Bewitchin’ Kitchen.

Slow Cooker Beef Pho

My first pick from this week’s Monday Funday Blogger Link Up Party is this Slow Cooker Pho recipe from Sidewalk Shoes. I have never had pho before, but it seems like a lot of people love it. I can see why it’s popular, a delicious and rich broth and noodles? What’s not to like? One of my goals of 2016 is to try new things (especially when it comes to food) so I’m going to give this a go.

TUSENBLADSTARTA – THOUSAND LEAVES TORTE

My second pick of the week is this beautiful Tusenbladstarta (or Thousand Leaves Torte) from Analida’s Ethnic Spoon. I have said that word out loud a few times now and I still can’t pronounce it, so I’m just going to call it Thousand Leaves Torte (which is what it translates to). This beautiful and delicate looking dessert combination of the crunchy cinnamon pastry and the smooth cream filling.

Stuffed Squash with Acorn and Cranberries

My last blogger link up pick is this recipe for Stuffed Squash with Cranberries and Sausage from Pinch of Nutmeg. I love how the sweet dumpling squash were used as a serving bowl. It saves a dish and it looks beautiful. This is another new recipe I want to try for 2016.

  1. Thanks for featuring my tusenbladstarta! ( too-sen-blads-tarta – I know it’s tricky) I make it every Christmas for my family and it is fantastic. You make the pastry ahead and freeze and then assemble. Have a great week!
