A Family Getaway at the Westin Whistler Resort and Spa

This is a sponsored post. All thoughts and opinions are always my own.

One of my family’s favourite place for a quick getaway is to Whistler, BC.

Whistler is a few hours away from our home, has gorgeous scenery and so much to do.

During our last trip to Whistler, my family stayed in a one-bedroom unit at the Westin Whistler Resort and Spa.

About the Westin Whistler

The Westin Whistler is a large suite hotel located at the base of Blackcomb mountain. It is steps away from Whistler village.

Amenities at this resort include a restaurant, a bar, many shops, a spa, a gym and a lovely outdoor pool with hot tubs.

Our Suite

We stayed in a well appointed 1 bedroom suite at the resort.

The unit had a modern bathroom with a separate bath and shower, a well-equipped kitchenette (including a dishwasher!), a comfortable living space with a pull-out sofa and a bedroom with a queen bed. The suite also had a small balcony with two chairs.

The suite had plenty of storage for coats and clothing (something very important during the winter months when you’re on a ski/snowboard holiday).

The unit did not have a washer/dryer but one was available on the same floor for a small fee.

Highlights

Perhaps my favourite thing about the Westin Whistler is its location. The resort is a 5-minute walk to the Whistler Village Gondola. This is the gondola that brings you to the top of Whistler mountain.

I really noticed how easy and convenient it was to walk out of this resort and enjoy everything that Whistler has to offer.

The pool was another big highlight for our family. My kids absolutely loved the pool and it’s inside/outside tunnel. The pool temperature was perfect, there were numerous lounge chairs on the outside deck and comfortable seating in the inside portion of the pool area. Those traveling without kids can enjoy an adult-only lounging area.

Overall

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Westin Whistler. The resort had everything we needed. We enjoyed having breakfast at their restaurant, Grill and Vine, appreciated the central location and enjoyed relaxing and having fun at the pool.

I highly recommend staying at the Westin Whistler Spa & Resort during your next Whistler vacation.

Be sure to check out their special offers including their Family Escape Package which includes breakfast for 4 registered guests and a complimentary in-room movie rental.

  5. I love how spacious it looks! I also love the kitchen, I find that being able to cook breakfast, or even just toast bagels and cut up fruit in the mornings is great. Not only does it save money, but it’s great not having to wait for everyone to get ready when people are hungry. I’m so sad I won’t make it there for the Lumina Vallea, it looks AMAZING!!!!

  13. I’m interested in their restaurant. I always love a resort that has tasty food. We’re there to have a good time and relax, and part of that is great food!
