My best friend and I go on mini getaways together every few years. It’s a way for us to reconnect without the kids around and enjoy each other’s company.
This year, we decided to take a quick vacation to San Diego, California. We decided to plan and book this trip through Expedia.ca. I used Expedia.ca because I trusted their prices, their site was easy to use and I could pay in Canadian dollars.
The booking process with Expedia.ca was simple. We were on the lookout for a great hotel near the beach and within walking distance to stores and restaurants. We quickly narrowed it down to the La Jolla area, just outside of the city of San Diego. There were numerous hotels to choose from in this area. It was easy for us to narrow down our search and find the perfect hotel for our little getaway.
Advantages of using Expedia.ca
- Prices are quoted in Canadian dollars
- Collect and redeem Expedia+ Points
- Read Expedia Guest reviews for every hotel property
- Best Price Guarantee
- No Expedia Cancellation Free to change or cancel almost every reservation
- Clear hotel description for every property
- Two payment options on most reservations, pay now or pay at the hotel
Once we selected our location it was easy to narrow down our choices. When searching for a hotel you can sort the properties by price, guest rating, property name, property class, best deals and recommended properties. We knew we wanted certain amenities and had a budget.
We were happy that the Sheraton La Jolla Hotel was suggested on Expedia. My friend and I appreciated all the photos of the property, the guest reviews and seeing the map showing exactly where the hotel is located.
More than just Hotels
For this trip, we only booked the hotel with Expedia. There is, however, many more services offered on Expedia.ca. You can book your entire trip in one place. Expedia can arrange flights, rental cars and even activities to do while on holidays.
I browsed through the “Things to Do” section for La Jolla and found some great suggestions for activities. Most activities have a free cancellation policy. You also pay for all activities in Canadian dollars.
Expedia+ Benefit
Expedia+ Benefit is a FREE program that allows you to collect points on every booking you make on Expedia.ca. There are three levels of membership +blue, +silver and +gold.
All membership levels earn 2 points per C$1 spent on almost everything on the Expedia.ca site. You will earn 1 point for every C$1 spent on flight + car packages. The best part? There are NO blackout dates when redeeming your Expedia+ Benefit travel points.
Overall
Expedia.ca is extremely easy to use. I had a great experience booking with Expedia.ca and will continue to use this website for future bookings. I appreciate their Best Price Guarantee policy and look forward to redeeming my Expedia+ points on future travel.
