Summer is by far my favourite season. I am a school teacher so summers means I spend 100% of the time with my kids. Even though some days can be exhausting I love the time I get to spend with them.
My family is so lucky to live in beautiful British Columbia where there are so many great things to do here.
Our summer fun always includes:
- Beach days! (we have so many sandy beaches around mama and the kids love this!)
- Hiking (great provincial parks = great trails)
- Ferry rides (taking the BC Ferry to the mainland is always a treat for the kids)
- Backyard play (we take out the pool, the sprinkler and play play play)
- Play dates and sleep overs (summer is the perfect time to spend extra time with friends)
- Camping in the backyard (one of my kids favourite activities, the best part about backyard camping is the easy set up!)
- Mini Trips
We started the summer off with a fun trip to Tofino, BC where we played in the ocean and went surfing. This summer we’re also heading to Whistler and Vancouver. These short getaways help break up the weeks and give the kids the opportunity to explore our local destinations.
Whether it’s a beach day or a mini trip I always make sure to bring along a few Kinder® Surprise eggs for the kids. They always love the treat and I love how Kinder® Surprise eggs make them so happy.
As a reminder, if/when you are travelling to the USA this summer, Kinder® Surprise® eggs are not allowed to cross the border.
What are you doing with your kids this summer?
Disclosure: I’m part of the Kinder® Mom program and I receive special perks as part of my affiliation withthis group. The opinions on this blog are my own.
I was surprised to read that Kinder® Surprise® eggs are not allowed to be taken into the US, I find that very strange.
