A Disney Frozen Birthday: Plan the Perfect Party

Every year my daughter picks her birthday party theme and every year it seems to be impossible to actually throw a party with the theme she wants.

Last year it was all about Merida and Brave. Do you think there were pre-made decorations available in stores? Nope. My husband and I did an awesome job at creating decorations and games. This year, she wanted a Frozen party.

I started by going to see what was available in stores and I couldn’t find ANYTHING. Apparently Disney didn’t know that Frozen parties were going to be in high demand. They didn’t have anything out in stores. So I had no choice but to create my own Frozen party decorations.

Here’s what I came up with.

1. My husband printed large posters of all the characters with birthday messages on them. These looked GREAT. After the party we used them to decorate my daughter’s room.

2. I made a large pennant with cut outs of the movie characters. The pennant was the focal point and looked amazing. It was very easy to make. I picked up scrapbook paper at Michael’s, cut them in triangles, punches holes in the top corners and strung a piece of yarn through them.

3. I pulled out the Christmas decorations and hung snowflakes and icicles throughout the house. I warned guests that they might freeze in the house as they walked in. Everyone had a good laugh.

4. I made cupcakes, iced them and sprinkled them with blue sugar sprinkles. I then made Frozen cupcake toppers with print outs (same ones I used for the pennant) and had them on each cupcake. The kids went nuts when they saw these. All the girls kept their cupcake decorations.

5. I always love keeping up with the theme when handing out a goody bag. Again I searched high and low for Frozen gifts but couldn’t find anything. Then I came across Frozen books and knew this HAD to be the giveaway. All the girls were so happy to leave the party with their own copy of the book.

6. We listened to the Frozen soundtrack as we made bracelets (for Elsa and Anna). The girls sang the entire time.

7. We watched the movie and again sang every song!

My daughter absolutely loved her Frozen party. In the end, I’m so pleased with the decorations that we came up with. They weren’t difficult to create and they looked amazing! I’m so happy I pulled it off!

  1. I find it so crazy how into these movies kids get! My son was even into this movie and runs around the house singing the songs, lol. Looks like it was a successful birthday party!
