Ready to Read with Scout and Violet by LeapFrog #review #giveaway #mbsGG

The first toy to make the list on my gift guide this year is Read with Me Scout by LeapFrog.

My son (and I) were in love with Scout from the minute we saw him. I have always had a soft spot for LeapFrog toys. My experience with LeapFrog toys has always been so positive. I strongly believe they make innovative products that are of quality and are so fun.

Read with Me Scout  and Read with Me Violet are two LeapFrog toys that tops my favourite toy list this year.

We’ve been enjoying Read with Me Scout for a few weeks now.

Read with Me Scout Leap Frog Review

Read with Me Scout Leap Frog

Scout has five interactive spots to touch. You can pet him for a reaction, kiss him, press the buttons on his collar to hear a book, press his right foot for music and his left foot for games.

My children are 3 and 6 years old. Both of them have love reading the books with Scout. When reading the books on day mode your child is prompted to pat Scout’s back when it’s time to change the page. In night time mode he will read the books without being asked to turn the page.

The five books that come with Scout are great little stories. They are stories that cover topics like pattens, rhyming and more. The illustrations in all five books are very cute and appealing to kids. Each time Scout reads a story he asks your child engagement questions as he reads. I’ve loved hearing my children answer Scout. As a teacher I love the fact that this toy is implementing comprehension questions.

My favourite thing about Scout is his night mode. I have switched Scout to night mode almost every night since we’ve had him. My son likes to listen to the stories as he’s falling asleep. The lullabies are also soothing for him.

Read with Me Scout and Violet make fabulous Christmas gifts for toddlers. I can guarantee that they will bring a smile and enjoyment to your little ones.

  1. My daughter would love to have an interactive Scout as a reading buddy! She’d probably love the night mode as well.

  2. Right now my son would probably enjoy the music feature and I like the patting back to turn the page but at night not needing to do so.

  3. I think the Night Mode is a great feature and something that my son would absolutely love! Thank you for this amazing chance!

  4. The fact that he asks engagement questions while he reads is great – we try to do this as well, so my daughter would love it!

  5. My girls would love that he is interactive, and that he is a dog. They really want a dog – maybe Scout would suffice!! Real dogs don’t read, so this would be even better!! 🙂

  6. We have the “My Pal Scout” toy for my son, and he absolutely adores it. I think just having a Scout to read him stories would thrill him.. and as much as I love reading to him, sometimes I have other things that need doing, and it would be nice for him to have “someone” else available to read when I can’t.

  7. We’re reading to our son already but Scout reading to him is great too. Have gotten Scout and Violet for my children of my family and friends and heard lots of good things about leapfrog products.

  8. I think my son would love the lullabies, he loves listening to music as he falls asleep, and I think the lullabies would be very soothing for him.

  9. My son would definitley love everything about Scout. Especially the night time mode, with the lullabies, and he’d be very happy with him responding to kisses, he loves doggies.

  10. I think the patting and kissing that gets him to respond my daughter would love the most. I would love the night time mode because even if she is tired she can still be learning

  11. My grandson would love this – he loves toys that interact and keep him entertained, especially with a new baby sister in the house!

  12. I like that he can be switched to night mode. Perfect for nap time, especially for those with a not so quiet house!

  13. I think she`d like having a reading buddy the most. She likes to read all day everyday, and unfortunately, there aren`t enough hours in the day for me to sit and read with her all day long.
