To-do lists, notes to my hubby, reminders… we go through a lot of paper on a daily basis in our home.
Now there’s an easy way to keep paper out of your recycle bin with the Boogie Board!
Boogie Boards are super cool LCD eWriters that are easy to use, portable and save you so much paper!
My family received a couple Boogie Boards to test out – the Jot 4.5 and the original Boogie Board. From the moment we received them we thought they were great.
Things I like about the Boogie Board eWriters:
- They save you paper
- They come with a stylus
- They reset at the push of a button
- They are portable
- They make NO sound
- You can write on the Boogie Board with the stylus or your finger
- It comes with a battery that never needs to be replaced
- They are EASY to use
We took our Boogie Boards on our last road trip and I have to say that it was quite a treat to have the kids entertained in the back seat with a quiet, non-video game device. My kids loved drawing on the eWriters, playing tic tac toe and hangman. I loved that I didn’t have to pack colouring books or notepads.
The original Boogie Board is a great, sturdy product. has a stylus tucked into the top corner of the tablet. The original Boogie Board has a button that you turn on if you don’t want your note to disappear. This is the Boogie Board I use when I need to leave my husband a note when I leave the house. It’s also the Boogie Board I use for my to-do lists. My kids love this one because it has a large screen (which means lots of room for their drawings).
The Boogie Board Jot 4.5 is a smaller version than the original 8.5. It fits easily in a purse or backpack. The Jot 4.5 comes with a protective cover. I like to keep the Jot 4.5 in my purse and often pull it out for my kids when we are at restaurants or in line at the store. It is almost weightless and very durable.
The only drawback to the Boogie Board is that you can’t save notes or drawings. You need to remember that this isn’t the purpose of a Boogie Board. If my kids do a cool drawing of if I have notes I have to remember I simply take a picture of it with my smart phone.
Boogie Boards are available in many stores across Canada and the US. There are five models of Boogie Boards available. Their price ranges from $19.99 – $99.99.
You can purchase the original Boogie Board on Amazon for only $27.99, the Boogie Board Jot 4.5 for only $17.24.
I so need to get me one of these! Right now, I use like three dry-erase boards to keep track of daily blogging tasks. They’re getting a bit grungy after so many erases though. The Boogie Board would hold up so much better.
That looks so neat! My sin had something like this but I don’t think it was the exact same so I know that he would love this.
We love Boogie Boards! The girls got them last year for Christmas from their grandparents and they use them a lot!
I seriously love this! The boys have spelling tests each Friday and we practice all week, the amount of paper we used annoyed me so we started using dry erase boards, but the markers dry out. This would be perfect for that and so many things, I’m a ‘list’ kind of girl!
This sounds like it would be perfect for grocery shopping. I’m not into making lists with digital devices, I need to actually write things down. This is the best of both worlds!
