Outdoor Adventures with Columbia Sportswear

My husband and I just returned from an amazing adventure at Nimmo Bay Resort in the Great Bear Rainforest. We obviously had to gear up for this trip. Columbia seemed like the perfect line of sportswear for this adventure.

My husband and I each received a Columbia EvaPOURation jacket, a Columbia Zero-Rules shirts and Columbia hiking shoes.

We could see right away that all these pieces were of excellent quality. We knew they would keep us comfortable during our outdoor adventure.

{EvaPOURation jacket}

The EvaPOURation jacket was perfect for our outdoor adventure to Nimmo Bay. These nylon jackets are lightweight and have a hood. My husband and I wore our jackets when we went whale watching, bear watching and fishing. The EvaPOURation jacket protected us from the wind and the splashes of water when on the boat. It also kept us quite warm.

EvaPOURation jackets have Omni-Tech™ technology. They are waterproof and breathable. Another cool feature about the EvaPOURation jacket is that they packable in the hand pocket. This is an important feature for when you don’t have a lot of packing room. 

Both my husband and I really love our jackets. We know we will put them to use in our West Coast rainy weather.

{Zero-Rules Short Sleeve Shirts}

The first thing I noticed about Columbia Zero-Rules short sleeve shirts are how lightweight and soft they were. Zero-Rules shirts don’t stop there, they are designed to react to your body temperature and keep you cool during exercise. I absolutely love how this shirt feels when I’m wearing it. It is flattering, comfortable, has an SPF 30 protection and is wicking fabric. 

Both my husband and I wore our Zero-Rules shirts during our activities at Nimmo Bay. I plan on wearing this shirt when I go hiking and running at home.

{Columbia Shoes}

My husband and I both received a different style of shoes for our trip. My husband received Men’s Conspiracy Razor Outdry shoes and I received the Women’s Ventrailia shoe. 

My husband is very selective when it comes to shoes. He has very high expectations and is often disappointed in a shoe’s performance. He wore his Conspiracy Razor Outdry shoes during our entire stay at Nimmo Bay. He kept saying he was so impressed with these shoes. They were comfortable, stylish and well made.

Perhaps the most impressive thing about the Conspiracy Razor Outdry shoes is that they are 100% waterproof. The shoes are also very flexible, lightweight and have great grip.

I felt comfortable in my Ventrailia shoes right away. They were the perfect fit. I really like the cushioning, the ventilation and the grip of these shoes. Even though we were hiking in very warm temperatures my feet never felt warm.

The Women’s Ventrailia shoes come in two great colours. They are the perfect hiking shoe for me.

Overall my husband and I are so impressed with all the Columbia sportswear products we tested. I strongly feel these pieces will last us for years. They are very well made, comfortable and dependable.

I’ve gone on so many more hikes with my husband and kids since we received the Columbia shoes.
