My family and I adore Whistler. We live relatively close and try to visit a few times per year.
When we go to Whistler in the winter we like to stay as close to the ski hills as possible. This year, we chose to stay at First Tracks Lodge by Lodging Ovations and couldn’t have been more pleased with it’s location, our suite and the amenities.
{About First Tracks Lodge}
First Tracks Lodge is located in Creekside. First Tracks Lodge is the closest property to the Creekside Gondola. When I say close, I mean the gondola is about 10 steps from the lodge doors. This is extremely convenient and quite the treat. First Tracks Lodge is comprised of 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom and 3 bedroom suites. It has a beautiful lobby, a great gym and pool with two hot tubs. First Tracks Lodge has one of the best equipment locker system I’ve seen in Whistler. The lockers are easily accessible from the lobby and by an outside door. The lockers are large and are equipped with a lock.
On this trip to Whistler we traveled with my sister and her family. We were 8 people in total. We rented a 3 bedroom suite and were more than happy with our suite. Our suite had a large open kitchen, a large dinning table with a seat for everyone, a living room with fireplace, a balcony and three bedrooms with three bathrooms. Another great perk is that each suite has a full size washer and dryer with detergent provided.
Our unit had the best view of the ski hills and of lessons at Whistler Kids. This was a treat because my husband and I could watch our kids during their lesson from our room. It also had a great view of the gondola lineup.
We enjoyed making dinner in our suite and playing games on the large dining table in the evenings. The kids watched a few movies in the living room and we all used the pool and hot tub each night. The beds in each room were extremely comfortable and having three bathrooms was such a nice feature. Our suite was sound proof, we never heard any other guests when in our room.
Overall my family had a great time at First Tracks Lodge. We really enjoy Creekside village and it’s proximity to Whistler village.
