May the 4th (aka May the 4th be with you) is the unofficial Star Wars holiday. Every May, DK Canada rounds up their best Star Wars books to celebrate everything Star Wars.
This month, you’ll find a great selection of Star Wars books in the Star Wars Boutique.
{DK Readers and DK Adventures}
DK Canada has something for beginner readers with their DK Readers. My own children and students love reading DK Readers everyday. My kids’ favourite Star Wars DK Readers are Fight the Empire and Journey Through Space.
More advanced readers will love DK Adventures stories. DK Adventures are longer stories than DK Readers. DK Adventures have 128 pages, are rich vocabulary and are original stories. You’ll find many Star Wars DK Adventures books. Titles include Sith Wars, What Makes a Monster? and Jedi Battle.
Both DK Readers and DK Adventures are fun series that get kids reading. They are original stories and have great images that transport the reader in the world of Star Wars.
{LEGO Star Wars}
We also received two LEGO Star Wars books – The Yoda Chronicles and The Dark Side. The first thing you’ll notice with these books is the cool LEGO minifigure that’s included. My kids went nuts when they saw them! My kids also love the original photographs in these books and seeing their favourite minifigures in action.
