Movie Time: Fun with Frankenweenie

This weekend my family sat down to watch the latest Tim Burton and Disney film, Frankenweenie.

We love movie night in our house and we couldn’t wait to watch this new movie about Sparky the dog.

Frankenweenie is the story of Victor, a little guy who has a loveable dog named Sparky. He does everything with his furry friend until one day, Sparky is in an accident and goes to heaven. Victor decides to conduct a science experiment on Sparky to bring him back to life – and it works! The trouble begins when the other neighbourhood kids see how Victor brought back Sparky and start bringing their beloved pets back to life in the same way.

Overall, this is a very sweet movie about a boy that would do just about anything to have his best friend back. There are some very funny scenes for kids and adults throughout the film.

Being that it is a Tim Burton movie you can expect some dark and scary scenes. I highly recommend you watch the film with your child. Both my two year old and five year old loved the movie and can’t stop talking about the dog that came back to life.
