New years always bring new beginnings.
I am not a person that has a list of resolutions. I do like to try new things and challenge myself. January is always a good time to do this.

I love this book! It’s packed with ideas and tips on how to grow just about anything! There are categories like Gardening Basics, Creative Containers, Fruits and Vegetables and even Wildlife Gardening.
We’ll be trying to plant some ginger this week and I can’t wait to make a Bee Hotel with my kids this summer.
On every page you’ll see a box that indicates when it’s the best time to plant something and tell you when that fruit, vegetable or other is at its best. You’ll also find very easy to follow instructions on how to grow just about anything.

{Cooking Season by Season}
I was so excited to receive this book! I absolutely love DK cook books. They are huge! They are packed with great recipes and have great photographs of all the meals and deserts.
I really like how this book is divided into seasons. When I received the book I flipped straight to the Late Winter section. I found an easy Minestrone recipe and just knew my family would love it. I made it that night. The recipe turned out AMAZING! My entire family loved it.
I love all the sections of this book. I like how it suggests recipes including fruits and veggies that are in season.

{Get Started: Astronomy}
I chose this book for my students. In our curriculum we learn about space and I’ve been going over the same material for a while now. I thought this would be a great book to read through and share with my students.
The book is divided in three sections: Start Simple, Build On It and Take It Further. I love the Quick Guides in every section and the illustrations and photographs.
