My daughter loves painting her nails like mommy. When we have “girly time” I often give her manis and pedis. In the past I’ve always used whatever polish I have at home, not worrying or even thinking twice about what I put on her nails.
Recently we received four polishes of SunCoat Girl to test out from Nail Polish Canada. This polish is designed especially for kids ages 3 and up. It’s water-based, odourless, and 100% chemical solvent free. The best part? It peels off when you want to change your nail colour!
The colours we received were Mermaid Blue, Delicious Peach, Eye Candy and Princess Purple. All four polishes looked great once applied. We especially LOVE the Mermaid Blue colour.
We used two coats and were impressed with the coverage. The polish lasted days and was easy to peel once we wanted a change.
SunCoat Girl polishes do not use toluene, DBP or add formaldehyde in their product. I love this product because I feel that’s it’s safer for my daughter to use.
Summer is just starting and I can already imagine lots of manis and pedis. I’m happy to be using SunCoat Girl polishes on my kids!

I’ve used this brand of polish for years and love the range of colours — these are definitely not just for kids! I find it doesn’t last on my hands very long, especially when doing housework but the polish will stay on my toes for weeks at a time without any chipping or peeling. And I like that it doesn’t have that awful chemical smell that I’ve grown accustomed to with years of regular nail polish use but makes my husband sick to his stomach.
