I’m a bit of a burger addict. I eat so many burgers I could probably have my own burger blog.
When I see a burger joint, I have to try it out. When I was in Whistler recently I had to take my family to BOOMburger.
BOOMburger is a fast and tasty burger restaurant. BOOMburger originated in PEI. The menu is quite simple. At BOOMburger you’ll find little booms (one patty), big booms (two patties), PEI fries, hot dogs and poutine. Yum!
Burgers are made with 100% fresh beef. They are cooked right in front of you on their grills. The best part about burgers at BOOMburger is that you can add as many toppings as you want. Your choice of toppings include:
- Mayo
- Lettuce
- Pickles
- Tomatoes
- Grilled Onions
- Grilled Mushrooms
- Ketchup
- Mustard
- Relish
- Onions
- Hot Peppers
- A1 Sauce
- Bar-B-Q Sauce
- Hot Sauce
I kept my burger pretty simple (cheese and onions) but my husband packed his with almost everything. I really loved having the option to add as many toppings as you wish. There’s nothing worse than getting your burger and having to remove what you don’t want on it. My burger was perfect. It was juicy, the bun was tasty and the cheese was perfectly melted.
We also ordered BOOMburger’s famous PEI fries and the BOOMpoutine (both made with PEI potatoes). The fries were awesome. The BOOMpoutine was amazing. The BOOMpoutine came fully loaded with beef, onions, mushrooms, cheese and gravy. It was one of the best parts of the meal. We ate the entire BOOMpoutine.
I think BOOMburger is just what Whistler village needed. You’ll find the restaurant in the heart of the pedestrian village.
BOOMburger was packed with customers when we were there. Everyone was enjoying their meal. I will absolutely take my family to BOOMburger again when we’re in Whistler.

I hear you about being burger crazy! I’m the same way. I like that you can add so many different toppings; I am very particular about how I dress my burger 🙂
Me too Fariha! I like a good burger but hate having to take toppings off when I sit down to eat it. Choosing your own toppings was a real bonus.
That poutine looks off the charts fantastic – and is that Raspberry Cordial I spy in the last pic? If so, it’s my favourite drink!
