Disney Live! Mickey's Rockin Road Show in Vancouver

Last week I took my family to see the Disney Live: Mickey’s Rockin Road Show in Vancouver.

At first my eldest was a little hesitant to go because he wasn’t sure what he was getting into but as soon as we walked in the door he was all smiles. There was a real buzz in the air and all of the kids were excited to be there.

The theatre set up was small and cozy with not a bad seat in the house. An open bright stage caught everyone’s attention as they were getting their seats and then the opening scenes are with fan favorites like Mickey and Minnie to get the kids engaged right from the beginning. Together, we end up on an adventure to put on the best talent show you’ve ever seen, meeting familiar friends like Donald, Buzz Lightyear, Woody, and Cinderella. Cinderella, for any of those princess fans, was amazing! She was a beautiful singer and of course put on her ball gown to do a dance number my little girl has been trying to repeat in the kitchen ever since.

There’s a little bit of everything in this live theatre style – comedy, dancing, singing and lots of excitement. Donald finishes off the last sequence with a really big bang – but I won’t ruin the surprise for you!

The next morning we were all sitting at the breakfast table and my son says to his dad, ‘Daddy, where does a pumpkin go to get fixed? To a pumpkin patch!’ That was one of the jokes Goofey told and I couldn’t believe he remembered it.
