A few days ago I received a big red box from Kellogg’s. I was so excited to see that inside the box was everything I needed to make some Easter Rice Krispies treats with my kids.
I hate to admit it but I had NEVER made Rice Krispies treats before. I have always eaten Rice Krispies cereal (love them with bananas) but never got around to making the treats.
I was so happy to see how easy they were to make. Here’s the recipe I used:
{Recipe}
- 50ml of butter
- 250g of mini marshmallows
- 6 cups of Rice Krispies cereal
In a large microwave safe bowl, heat butter and marshmallows at HIGH for 3 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes. Stir in Kellogg’s Rice Krispies cereal until well coated.
Shape the mixture into egg shapes and place them in a cupcake liner. Decorate as desired.
I had a bit of difficulty making the perfect egg shape but my Rice Krispies treats tasted amazing. My kids loved adding icing and candies to our eggs. I think they turned out so well.
