I’m one of those parents who first the first 6 months of my baby’s life, never left the house without a white noise device of some kind. My baby was – um – spirited, I guess you can call it? You can bet I’d find myself in line at the grocery store or out for a walk with other mom friends and their babes, and who’s baby would be shrieking at the top of her lungs? Mine.
Enter the white noise. It saved me. Several times. In my opinion, white noise is my magic solution for a calm baby. I brought white noise with me everywhere I went. I often used my phone and a white noise teddy bear to help.
When I heard about the Gro-Hush, I couldn’t resist.
Although I liked my other options for baby #1, now that I’m expecting baby #2, I’m excited about this new device. As I mentioned, with my first, I used my phone quite often when I had forgotten her teddy, and I didn’t really like the idea of sticking my phone so close to her head just to soothe her. I know it’s probably “safe”, but if I had another option, I would have used it. So I’m really excited to try out the Gro-Hush on my second.
That will have to wait though until baby comes, so for now, I’m testing out the features and looking forward to using it in the spring.
Why I like the Gro-Hush:
- it’s a small, hand held device – you just slip your hand around the back behind the elastic
- there are three sound options – mother’s heartbeat, rain falling on a tin roof, or ocean waves
- the sound buttons are cleverly placed close to your fingers when you’re holding the device through the elastic
- the volume is preset at a safe level of 75 decibels, so no worries about it affecting your little one’s hearing
- it comes with a travel case and washable cover – love this cause I can just throw it in my diaper bag and not worry about spillage etc…
- there’s an auto shut off after 10 minutes of use
I’m really looking forward to trying it out on my next baby – that is of course, if he or she is similar to my first! I relied so much on my white noise devices that I’m sure this one will get lots of use.
WOW, this totally could have helped me through many sleepless nights.
I am someone who has to sleep with either the TV or fan on, just for the noise. I totally get how this would be a huge help for babies!
This is a great product. White noise can be so calming for babies. This would be a great shower gift. I sleep with a fan on to drown out noise.
This is so neat. Where was this when I needed peace at night.lol
This is just awesome. Would save me from hours of shhhhh, shhhhh, shhhhh… Love it
That would be really helpful during the colicky hours of the evening. It’s so hard to soothe babies then.
How ingenious is that. I wish they would have had it when my kids were babies.
I have never seen anything like this What a great idea, great for travel too!
I could have used this when my son was a baby. He has autism and was a terrible sleeper.
What a great idea. I know so many babes who need that white noise!
This is one product that I wished I had tried with my kids – it’s a great idea and I bet it’s very soothing!
We’ve always used noisemakers, like bears with heartbeats, so I really love this idea and how portable it is. I wonder if they’ll make it in other colors.
This is another baby product that my sister could have used. My nephew was a terrible sleeper.
This is an awesome invention. It’s amazing what white noise can do. We used to lull our son to sleep with a television set to white noise.
That is great. I sleep with a fan on – 365 days a year.
