Have you heard of Little Passports?
Little Passports is a subscription service which sends your child one package per month of educational information based on what service you’ve asked for.
They have a World edition, which teaches your child about a different country each month, a US edition, where you learn about the 50 United States, and an Early Explorers edition for preschool aged children.
We have been receiving the Little Passports World edition for the past 3 months, and my son (age 9) was so excited to receive the packages.
{What you get}
The first month was an introduction to the program. In the first package my son received a small suitcase to keep all of his travels in, and to put stickers and boarding passes in, a world map, and his own passport.
The following two packages contained a letter from the traveling partners Sofia and Sam, information about an animal they’ve encountered that is native to that country, and an artifact (my son received an Amethyst stone from Brazil which he thought was the best thing ever!). Plus a sticker and travel pass for that country.
{Cool Factor}
I love the idea of giving Little Passports as a gift because it is not only educational, it’s totally different and kids want to know more about the country of the month. It’s easy for grandparents to sign the kids up for or help pay into, and it’s the gift that keeps on giving all year! We as parents are always talking about how to lessen the amount of toys in our houses, and this is the perfect solution. Ask grandparents, aunts, uncles, or friends to all go in for a one year subscription for your child and they’ll get a great package addressed to them each year.
I’m so glad that we have tried Little Passports, and I plan on asking grandparents to pay for another 6 months for my child since his birthday is coming up.
{How to Sign Up}
To sign up check out the Little Passports website. Subscriptions are 3, 6 or 12 months for a variety of prices starting at $19.99. Make sure to check out their Facebook page for coupon codes and more information.
