Mark your calendars, get your gear ready, this year Whistler Blackcomb opens on November 24th!
Make your way to the mountain on the evening of November 23rd and enjoy a Base Camp Celebration to celebrate the return of winter and the start of an epic season!
Base Camp Celebration is from 7pm – 10pm in Skier’s Plaza area near the Blackcomb Excalibur gondola.
This celebration will include:
- Bonfires
- A Beer Garden for those 19+
- Live music
- Prize Giveaways
- Marshmallows and S’Mores
- Covered campfire zones
This event is completely FREE to the public and the best way to get ready for the season!

- The Coca-Cola Tube Park opens December 10, 2016
- The Fire and Ice Show starts in early December at Skiers Plaza
- Skating at the Olympic Plaza in the village opens in early December

With all the trips I make to Vancouver, shockingly, I have never been to Whistler! I should make more of an effort…
the next vacay we do will be out west ( we are from Ontario) Whistler sounds like a great place to visit!

Years and years ago I tried skiing here … I am not good at all, but the area is gorgeous enough to go without being a skier.
