A few weeks ago my family was treated to brunch at The Wildflower restaurant at Chateau Whistler.
Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day and I was so looking forward to testing out the buffet I had heard so much about.
My family and friends were seated in a gorgeous private area of the restaurant looking over a small garden. I loved it because I knew our kids (aged 3 to 7) would have room to move around and “play” once they were done eating.
After being served tasty drinks (including delicious smoothies that we all enjoyed) my husband and I headed to the buffet to get our kids some food.
The hot buffet selection was great. The day of our breakfast, it included tasty hash browns, bacon, sausage, eggs, waffles and french toast. Each hot option is presented in Le Creuset dishes. They stay warm under heat lamps and you know the portion of food you are about to put on your plate will be fresh.
The Wildflower also has an omelette making station where you can customize what you would like in your omelette. To me, this is a must have at any good breakfast buffet. The Wildflower does not disappoint in this department. On the morning we attended they had two superb omelette chefs who where friendly, fast and very accommodating.
The buffet doesn’t stop there, you will also find a section of fresh fruit and fresh pastries. If you need a top of for your drink or smoothy you can find a drink station at the front of the room.
My kids ate very well (thanks to the plain white egg omelette from the omelette making station for my son) but the adults ate even better. I was very impressed with the buffet at The Wildflower. I strongly feel it is priced right, it is set in a beautiful location, the food is warm, tasty and well presented and the service was top notch.
If you don’t happen to be staying at Chateau Whistler while visiting the restaurant you can obtain a 2hr free parking pass on your way out after your meal. This allows you enough time to enjoy your meal and take a short walk around the gorgeous hotel lobby and at the base of Blackcomb mountain.
The Wildflower restaurant will be a restaurant I will be visiting on all my future Whistler vacations. I can’t think of a better way to start the day in beautiful Whistler village.
Now that is a beautiful looking breakfast!
yum! That just made me super hungry, good thing it’s lunch time! What a great visit this must have been!
Everything looks phenomenal. That fruit – wow! Clearly they get quality in there. I’m going to mark this down for my next trip to Whistler.
Yum! Here I am hunger for lunch, and I see your mouth-watering images! Now I have to settle for what’s in the house. It looks like a very nice place.

I love Whistler and the Fairmont Chateau is our #1 pick for accommodations. Great review.
