Experience Big Cities with Big Bus Tours

We have just returned from our first trip to Europe with our kids. We were in the UK and in France for 23 days. During this trip, we discovered new cities and finally brought the kids to some of our favourite destinations.

We began our trip in London. A city that none of us had ever visited. Since London was a completely new place for us to visit we decided that the best way to be introduced to the city was to hop on the Big Bus sightseeing tour.

Disclosure: My family received complimentary tickets on the Big Bus. All thoughts and opinions are always my own.

Big Bus Tours are hop-on hop-off sightseeing tours that take you to the best attractions in 23 cities around the world. They are perfect for tourists visiting new destinations and for families.

Getting on the Big Bus London was the absolute best way to start our Europe adventure!

The Big Bus London

On our first day in London, we walked to the Big Bus stop closest to our hotel and received our tickets onboard the bus. This was convenient and easy to do. After we received our tickets, we grabbed complimentary headphones and we headed to the upper deck of the bus.

We started our day on the red line and got off at three stops. We also did most of the blue line on our one day ticket.

The view from the top deck of the Big Bus is superb. We got comfortable and started to experience what London is all about.

I had pre-planned where we were going to hop off from the Big Bus the night before. It was nice to be able to sit back and listen to interesting facts about London and only get off where we wanted to.

Since our experience on the Big Bus London was so successful and fun we knew we had to take the kids on the Big Bus Paris.

The Big Bus Paris

Paris is a very large city with so many must-see landmarks. My husband and I had visited before but doing a Big Bus sightseeing tour was a great way to get re-acquainted with the city and introduce it to our kids.

For this Big Bus excursion, we picked up our tickets at the main Big Bus office. Once we had our tickets we hopped onto the red line. The red line route has 10 stops. We got off at three stops to explore the city more closely. We also got onto the blue line once we finished the red line and got off at the Sacre-Coeur stop.

Highlights of our Big Bus Paris tour included driving down Avenue des Champs Elysees, doing a full circle around the Arc de Triomphe, and seeing the Eiffel Tower from far and near.

Overall

My husband and I were so pleased with our tours on the Big Bus London and the Big Bus Paris. I truly feel that taking a Big Bus sightseeing tour is the best way to start your vacation in a new city. Big Bus always brings you to the best spots and the top deck of the bus gives you an amazing view of everything.

We loved using the Big Bus App while on the tour. It allowed us to see when the next bus was coming and gave us directions on how to walk to any stop. The App also indicated what we could see at each stop.

I strongly believe that if you are traveling with kids, a Big Bus tour is the way to go. It saved our kids from walking forever to see the sights and allowed them to relax (even nap!) when they needed to.
