Home Reading with DK Readers + Giveaway!

My children don’t have a lot of homework every night but one thing we do take seriously is home reading. We always make time to read for 15-20 minutes for homework and one or two stories at bed time.

One series of books that my children always love to read is the DK Readers series.

We received 4 new LEGO DK Readers and they are perfect for my kids (they are crazy LEGO lovers).

LEGO City: Heroes to the Rescue, LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens, LEGO Star Wars: Free the Galaxy and LEGO Ninjago: Team Ninja have already made it on our home reading list a few times.

DK Readers LEGO City

My kids are really enjoying reading these titles. They especially love The Force Awakens book.

LEGO DK Readers Star Wars

DK Readers are great because they are leveled books. It’s easy to find the appropriate reading level for your child with this collection. They are fun to read, have original illustrations (in this case, great LEGO ideas) and fun topics.

Another fun thing about DK Readers is that there is always a quiz at the end of the book. I love quizzing my kids to see if they understood the story. The books also have a Glossary of words and a Guide for Parents.

DK Readers are very well priced and available in so many bookstores. I always pick a few up before we go on a trip because they are high interest books and easy to pack. You’ll find so many great non-fiction titles in the DK Readers collection.
