Breeze through March Break with DK Books

It’s March Break!

In my school district we have two weeks off. That’s two whole weeks to engage with your kids, introduce them to new things and PLAY! Thankfully, DK Canada has some great books to get you through March Break.

Here are some of my ideas for great March Break activities:

{Bake Something}

My kids love baking. They love measuring, mixing and watching things bake in the oven. They also really love eating what they make.

DK Canada has a great Mommy & Me Bake book. This book is filled with fun and easy recipes you can make with your child. Each recipe has clear step by step instructions (with pictures). I’m planning on making Crunchy Cutout Cookies, Breadsticks and Queen of Jam tarts with my kids.

{Create with Lego}

My kids are crazy about Lego. They play with Lego for hours. I love seeing what they can build. DK Canada has so many great Lego books. The LEGO Play Book is filled with great ideas of things to build with Lego blocks.

My kids have already tried making some of the ideas in the book but they also love just flipping through the pages to see what can be created. There are more than 500 build and play ideas in this book. This book is filled with great photos and is sure to inspire every kid (big or small) to make something cool with Lego.

{Learn to Doodle}

My little guy loves to draw so I knew that he would love the My First Doodle Fun! wipe-clean book. This book comes with a wipe-clean pen and has tons of fun doodles to complete. The pen erases very easily so it’s fun to doodle and start again and again. This board book is perfect to bring along in the car or on vacation.

  1. these look like really interesting books. I especially like the LEGO Play Book, my kids used to play with it for hours when they were small. Now they’re all adults but most still love getting it for their kids so that they ‘can help them build’ it 😉
