My kids love any DIY project. Whether it’s cooking muffins or making slime, you give them the materials and they’re creating.
I was so happy to have the opportunity to test out two new products in the Professor Maxwell line. My kids were ecstatic from the moment we received the 4D Chef and 4D Science kits. They couldn’t wait to try out these STEM kits.
We started with the 4D Chef set and really enjoyed it! Both 4D kits come with a book and many accessories including the very important hands-free goggles.
You need to download the free 4D Chef and 4D Lab app to fully enjoy the kits. The App works with any smart phone.
About 4D Chef
This kit comes with a 42-page recipe book and every accessory that you need to make the recipes suggested. I really liked the measuring cups and measuring spoons. The chef hat and apron are also a cute touch.
My kids looked through the book and decided to make Chicken Noodle Soup.
We downloaded the 4D Chef App and all took turns looking at the step by step video on how to make the recipe. The hands-free goggles were very easy to use and it was very fun to hear Professor Maxwell explain each recipe and see videos of how to make them.
The recipe was easy to follow and produced a very tasty soup!
Recipes included in the 4D Chef kit include avocado toast, pizza, broccoli mac & cheese, chocolate chip cookies and more. All recipes are very kid friendly and require common ingredients.
About 4D Science
This kit comes with a 30-page book filled with fun experiments and everything you need to complete them.
Experiments in the kit include a volcanic eruption, sticky slime, making a rainbow and how to write a magic message. My kids can’t wait to make them all!
Overall
I’m quite impressed with these 4D kits. I like that there is step by step videos to follow to complete recipes and experiments. I think that the recipes and experiments in the books are on point and perfect for any curious child.
The recipes and experiments are easy to follow. The augmented reality option is very original and fun to use. Most children could complete all projects on their own, without adult support.
These STEM kits are ideal for kids 6 and up. I feel they would make a great gift for any child.
You can pick up your Professor Maxwell’s 4D Chef and 4D Science kits at Costco for only $29.99.
