Books to Celebrate Mother's Day and Father's Day #giveaway

Mother’s Day and Father’s Day are just around the corner and I’ve got two great book suggestions for little ones!

I recently received a copy of Why I Love my Mommy and Why I Love my Daddy from Harper Collins. One of the reasons these two books are so special is because every single sentence in the book is written using childrens’ own words.

Both books have beautiful illustrations from Daniel Howarth. My son was drawn to the pictures as soon as I read him the books.

I strongly believe that Why I Love my Mommy makes a great shower gift or a great Mother’s Day gift. Why I Love my Daddy would be perfect for new dads this Father’s Day.

Both board books are recommended for ages 0-3. You can find Why I Love my Mommy and Why I Love My Daddy at bookstores across Canada and the US.

After reading Why I Love my Mommy and Why I Love my Daddy I asked my son to draw me a picture of why he loves his mommy and his daddy. I absolutely love what he came up with.

  1. I love my children so much…my daughter is 15 and is so responsible…she never ceases to amaze me…

  2. What I like most about my children, they are kind, lovable, creative and I love everything about them.

  3. The thing I love about my son most is his compassion- his genuine regard for the feelings of others, particularly his sister.

The thing I love most about my daughter is how delightfully weird she is. She’s feisty and unique and funny.

  4. I can’t have children but I love my little cousins personalities, sense of humor and wonderful imaginations.

  5. GOSH THATS’S PROBABLY THE HARDEST QUESTION TO ANSWER WHAT I LOVE MOST ABOUT MY CHILD, HE’S 6 MONTHS AND THERES NOT ONE THING I DON’T LOVE. I LOVE THAT HE BEGINS TO RECOGNIZE ME OVER OTHER PEOPLE AND IS STARTING TO GIGGLE ABOUT EVERYTHING IT MAKES MY DAY.

  6. I have 5 boys and I just love them. Not really something I can put into words. I just love them no matter what. Even when they are annoying the heck out of me, I still love them.

  7. I love both my girls ! Its hard to pick just one thing I love about them. What I find very unique is that they are both very different from one another. they look different and have such different personalities

  8. I love all of my 7 children, they have all grown into adults I respect and adore. Some have given me grandchildren too, 7 to date scattered across 3 continents. I love one grandson because he’s a little dare devil and has the most amazing smile, so much so that he can practically get away with anything. 🙂

  9. I love my girls and I’m very proud of them as they are mothers themselves now and they have given me two sweet granddaughters, they are my cute little buttons and grandma is going to spoil them big!!

  10. What I love about my little mama is that she is just such an extension of both my husband and I. She truly is the glue that brings our family together. I see characteristics of her daddy, her grandparents, and even myself in her. She amazes me everyday with her innocence and love of people and life. When I get super stressed, she knows exactly how to turn it around with one silly joke or a sweet gesture. I spend a lot of time teasing about how my little monkey is such a troublemaker, but geez… I love her so darn much.

  11. Even before my 7 mth old son was born, hed taught me so much about myself. How to love and accept myself, how to care about the big things while letting the little things go. Now hes here, we continue to teach each other new things everyday. I love watching his skills develop and change on a daily basis, even just the small things like picking up food and bring to his mouth, or watching him learn to reach further around on a toy or zeroing in on a zipper. I think, most of all, I love seeing his face light up when my husband comes home from work. He gets so excited he cant contain it. It makes my heart burst ♡

  12. Great book selections! I love everything about my girl, she’s beautiful, curious, a bit of a dare devil, smart, and very kind/empathetic to others.

And her smile will melt your heart!

  13. I love my oldest child because she is so inquisitive. Always questioning. I love my middle because she is kind and loving, and I love my baby because she is so adventurous.

  14. My children are my life but now I have 2 grand daughter’s and they have brought a new meaning to the word LIFE for me! I am excited that you are having a giveaway of books!! Reading is so important at an early age 🙂 ty
