How many best friends do your kids have? Mine have about 5 each. It’s so fun to hear my kids talk about their BFFs. I know they would do anything for their best friends. They love spending time with them, writing to them and seeing them.
Did you know that this coming Thursday July 30th is the International Day of Friendship? Hasbro has created a special My Little Pony micro site just to celebrate the day!
On the site My Little Pony: Everyday is Friendship Day site you’ll find lots of friendship activities. When you arrive at the site you start by selecting one of six My Little Pony’s with a special trait. Then you can complete activities that earn you points on your friendship meter.
When you click on a Pony you’ll see short videos of each Pony, you’ll find a parents guide that can help you guide your child to do something great on International Day of Friendship. You will also see activities you can complete with your child.
I absolutely love Applejack’s activities because they focus on the Environment. It discusses how your child can be a friend to the environment and leads them in an activity to go clean up a local park.
Other activities include:
- Read a book to your sibling
- Spending time with a special animal
- Make a card for a child in the hospital
- Fill a jar with spare change and donate it to a shelter
I highly recommend you head to the My Little Pony: Everyday is Friendship Day on July 30th to get fun and free activities for your kids. The activities you will find on the site will help make a difference in your own community.
