Travel to Seattle and Victoria with the Clipper

This is a sponsored post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

One of the benefits of living on the West Coast of Canada is having the opportunity to visit cool US cities like Seattle.

One perk of living in Victoria is having the Clipper connect us to Seattle. During our last trip to Seattle, my husband and I traveled by Clipper. I hadn’t traveled by Clipper for over 10 years and was so impressed by our sailing to Seattle across the San Juan Islands.

What’s On Board

The Clipper ferry is a passenger ferry. You can walk on with your carry-on luggage or check your bags for $10 per bag. There is also a bag hold option at both the Victoria and Seattle terminal.

It has two levels of comfortable seating and incredible views.

The Clipper has seating areas with and without tables. There are designated areas to store your carry-on bags, clean restrooms and snack bars on board. The Clipper offers in-seat service for all menu items. I loved this as it made it easy to sit back, relax and enjoy the ride.

There is a large outdoor deck for guests to enjoy during the sailing.

There are two classes of seating on the Clipper. You can choose from Economy Class and Comfort Class.

Economy Class has main cabin seating and locally sourced food and beverages available for purchase.

Victoria Clipper review

Overall Experience

My husband and I absolutely loved our time on the Clipper. It was very comfortable and such a fast way to travel from Victoria to Seattle. Our trip was just under 3 hours.

All the staff on the Clipper were kind, accommodating and knowledgeable. They answered all our questions and made sure we were having a good trip.

Boarding the Clipper was simple and organized. The customs and immigration process was quick and straightforward.

I felt that taking the Clipper saved us time and stress. I will absolutely travel with the Clipper again but next time, I’ll bring my kids!

  1. I think I’d like the the comfort of the Clipper. We’ve never taken it before because we always want the car, so we either go over to Tsawwassen and drive across the border or take the Blackball.

  2. This looks like a wonderful way to travel. There’s a lot of room on this ship. Looks relatively simple to book a trip package.

  3. Sounds like a fun way to travel. We are debating on a trip out that way, so will check into this for sure.

  4. Like most? Just going on one! Never been on a boat (or is it large enough to be called a ship) like that before!

  5. Wow! Looks like a great way to travel! Everything looks so comfortable and roomy. I need to check this out for my family!
