Summer Fun in a Beach Bag: Shopping at Walmart #shop #cbias

Summer is in full swing. My kids and I spend time doing all kinds of activities in the summer. We play outside a lot and often go to the beach, the water park and the lake. I recently noticed that my beach bag needed a bit of an update. I decided to challenge myself and headed to Walmart to get a few things to update my beach bag.

Looking at my current beach bag I could tell right away that we needed new beach towels, our sunscreen was almost empty and the kids could use some fun toys to play with at the park or the beach. We are not ready to head to the beach with what I’ve got in this beach bag!

I headed to my local Walmart and was impressed with the Summer Fun section right at the front of the store. I found tons of aisles stocked with beach toys, sunscreen, bubbles and more. I started my shop in these aisles and found lots of cool stuff for my beach bag. I selected a bucket with bubbles for my kids. We often bring bubbles to beach. I know they will love this mini bucket. I also chose some diving fish for our backyard pool and a fun lawn game that is easy to bring along on any of our adventures.

I continued on and found myself in the book section. I strongly believe that every beach bag needs a good book in it. Walmart has a huge selection of books. The bestsellers are 40% off everyday. I couldn’t pass up picking up a book at that price! I hope I have time to read it while the kids are building sand castles!

I then started searching for the perfect beach towels for my beach bag. I wanted them big and bright. I found some great beach towels in the linen section of the store. I loved the price – 2 for $10! What a deal. These would be perfect to lounge on at the beach or at the lake. I can picture myself relaxing on them while reading my new book.

In the end I purchased two towels, beach toys for the kids, sunscreen, a book and snacks for the beach. All this came to under $40.

I’m so happy with everything I purchased for my beach bag! I feel ready to head out on many sunny adventures with my kids. Thankfully the weather has been amazing in our city. I plan on heading out as much as I can this week.
