Create Mario and Luigi at the Nintendo Workshop at 4Cats

We are so lucky to have the most beautiful 4Cats Studio in Victoria, BC at Uptown Centre.

Today, the kids and I participated in our second Nintendo workshop at 4Cats. The project today was to create Mario and Luigi from Super Mario Bros out of polymer clay.

Our workshop was led by Frances.

Each participant was given clay and taught how to create their favourite character step by step.

Both my 5 year old and 8 year old listened carefully and created magnificent replicas of their favourite Super Mario Bros.  The project itself took about 1hr.

My kids and I were so impressed with the polymer clay provided for this workshop. It was easy to use and shape. Once our characters were completed they needed to be popped in the oven for a few minutes to harden. Once they were hardened Frances placed them in cool display globes.

Overall this was a great workshop and a fun way to create and display your favourite Super Mario Bros. character. Our Mario and Luigi globes will look great in the kids playroom.

Mario and Luigi are making a huge comeback in the Nintendo world with their latest game: Super Mario Maker. This new game has the player create their own levels on the WiiU GamePad Controller. The player can choose from four different eras (Super Mario Bros., Super Mario World, Super Mario Bros 3 and Super Mario Brothers U) to create their levels. Once they are done players can play and share their levels with others.

Overall, the Nintendo workshop at 4Cats was awesome. I love the projects my kids created. I highly recommend any workshop at 4Cats!

I’d love to know, do your kids love Super Mario Bros? Who is their favourite Super Mario Bros. character?

  1. That looks amazing!! What a fun class to participate in! I have never heard of 4Cats before! I’ll have to search for one near me! My boys would love it!

  2. My boy was a huge fan when he was younger…..we spent entirely too much time racing each other in MarioKart. Good times! lol
